Former NBA super star and legend Larry Nance wanted the ultimate hands on experience when it came to building his street car motor. A monster 600 plus cubic inch big block Chevy with an impressive 4.625 bore diameter. The motor was machined for its final assembly in our state of the art engine lab here at Speed City. When Larry came to us and told us that he wanted to be a part of the assembly process, we were honored to let him lend a hand in the sport that fuels our passion for excellence’s. On Saturday January 28th we set up a one on one with Mr. Nance and our General Manager George Rumore for the complete assembly of his big block. During this time Larry installed the lifters, heads and intake on this beast under the guidance of George. Final assembly of his street car motor went hand in hand with the completion of his Alan Johnson 481X equipped with a F3 136mm ProCharger. This motor is being prepared to go between the frame rails of his Don Ness Pro Mod chassis, that has been getting multiple upgrades by the professionals here at Speed City.
